 About Cape Cod Child Development

For over thirty years, Cape Cod Child Development has held true to its mission of caring for children and families in the community and we are proud to have served nearly 25,000 families since our inception. Each day nearly 1,000 families on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and Wareham walk through our doors and receive the following services:

  • Full day, year round child care in three preschool and school-age (before and after school) centers and 30 family child care homes
  • Head Start services for 396 families in 17 sites from Wareham to Brewster
  • Early Intervention for children birth to age 3 with delays or disabilities, providing support and care in the natural settings of the family
  • Teen Parent Program, serving teen mothers, fathers and their children
  • Families United Network, providing educational, interactive play groups, parenting classes and fun activities for families in the seven villages of Barnstable
  • Interpreter Services to meet the needs of Brazilian, Portuguese and Spanish families who are new to Cape Cod and do not speak English.
  • A food pantry open to all families on Cape Cod.

With a staff of 270 dedicated professionals we are reaching out and helping families to find and receive the support they need. Read on to find out just how each of our programs can help you.
