Development just might be your answer. As one of the largest providers in the
area, we offer a full range of services for families with children ages 3
months to 12 years. Whether you are looking for a preschool program, full day
child care for your infant or before or after school enrichment for your youngster, we
are ready to help you. We understand how difficult it is for parents to entrust
the care of their children to someone else, and that is why all of our programs
are provided by caring staff in nurturing environments. Each center and family
home is licensed by the Office of Child Care Services through the state of Massachusetts
and each center is NAEYC accredited (or in the process of receiving
accreditation).
We also know how important it is to engage the interests of children and that is why each of our child care programs fosters your little one's individual growth and development. We care for more than 800 children each day and we do so through a stimulating, exciting and supportive environment. At Cape Cod Child Development, your children will learn language, reading, and vocabulary through interactive and fun activities. Their gross and fine motor skills will be developed through outdoor play and craft activities. And their blossoming imaginations will be expanded through dress up, role playing and games. Our staff will also work with you, as parents, to create a positive child care experience that fully supports your child's individual development.
All of our child care programs are accessible and conveniently located throughout the Cape area. Best of all, our high quality programs are affordable. For income-eligible families, we can help you access financial assistance in the form of vouchers, scholarships and sliding fees.
Family Child Care
For parents searching for child care in a smaller, home-based setting, our Family Child Care System is your answer. We offer child care for children 3 months to 12 years through 30 Family Child Care Providers. Strategically placed throughout the Cape, there is probably a home close to yours. Our providers are licensed by the Office of Child Care Services (OCCS), thoroughly trained by our agency and receive monthly visits from our skilled child care staff. Each home offers a small group atmosphere, a single caregiver and a stimulating, fun and educationally-based curriculum, providing children a nurturing and inviting environment.

Preschool Child Care/Early Education
For children who thrive in a larger setting, Cape Cod Child Development offers three center-based preschool and early education programs for children ages 2.9 to kindergarten. Our centers, conveniently located in Yarmouth, Hyannis and Falmouth are open from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm on a year-round basis, supporting parents in their employment all year long. All of our centers are licensed by the Office of Child Care Services and are accredited (or in the process of being accredited) by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC). Our centers offer low child to teacher ratios and provide a wide variety of structured and free-time learning opportunities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests and abilities through indoor and outdoor learning and play. On a typical day, your child might explore the computer, read books with an older child visiting from a local school, participate in arts and crafts projects, learn about their environment, sing songs, play outdoors on the jungle gym and have free time. And, most importantly, every day your child will be stimulated, nurtured, and supported in all his/her experiences.

School Age/Summer Child Care
As staff, we understand how important it is to have a safe, nurturing environment for children before school has opened and after it has closed. Our school-age child care is provided for children kindergarten through age 12 during those times of the day that children are not in school and parents need to be at work. And, since we are open year-round, you do not have to find alternative care during school vacations or the summer months. Our school-age programs are structured to meet the varied needs of children in school and include a variety of structured and free-time activities. Each day your child will have the opportunity to read, study in a quiet area, receive homework help, engage in outdoor sports and games with other children or participate in group arts and crafts projects.
Our summertime programs are packed with fun, enriching activities including trips to museums, swim lessons, nature activities, arts and crafts and community theater.
