Cape Cod Child Development Announces Grant of $2,500 from the Edward Bangs Kelley and Elza Kelley Foundation

Hyannis, MA, July 24, 2009 – Cape Cod Child Development is pleased to acknowledge the Edward Bangs Kelly & Elza Kelley Foundation for their recent grant support of $2500.00 for the agency’s emergency food pantry.

“Cape Cod Child Development is thrilled to receive this grant,” said Mary Pat Messmer, Executive Director of the agency. “We are most grateful to the Kelley Foundation for their continuous support over the years, and in particular helping us maintain this important resource for our families.”

Cape Cod Child Development is an organization committed to providing care and community resources for the children and families of Cape Cod and the Islands. Our staff proudly serves 2,500 children and their families each year through childcare, educational and developmental intervention, and family support services. As a part of these support services, the agency maintains an emergency food pantry to provide assistance to a family until they are able to access one of the major food pantries on the Cape.

The Kelley Foundation, established in 1954, is a leader in fostering the means for improving the quality of life for the residents of Cape Cod, whether in the arts, education, or in basic services of food, housing and job skills.
