Cape Cod Child Development Announces Grant of $2,500 from TD Charitable Foundation for School-Aged Program

07/21/2009

Hyannis, MA, July 21, 2009 – Cape Cod Child Development is pleased to acknowledge TD Charitable Foundation for their grant support of the agency’s School-Age programs. Cape Cod Child Development’s school-aged programs support children from Kindergarten to grade 6 within both after-school and summer session settings.

“The after-school and summer session programs are particularly important to both children and their families,” said Anne Scott, the Child Care Director. “These programs allow parents to work while their children enjoy safe, supervised activity as well as academic support and enrichment.”

Regular participation in high-quality after-school programs is critical not only to a child’s academic, social and physical development, but also to a family’s job success, financial stability and overall wellbeing. Guided by the principle that a child’s growth and success includes not only their cognitive development but also their social-emotional health and physical wellness, Cape Cod Child Development’s school-aged programming promotes well-rounded activities that nurture every aspect of a child’s development.

Cape Cod Child Development is an organization committed to providing care and community resources for the children and families of Cape Cod and the Islands. Our staff proudly serves 2,500 children and their families each year through childcare, educational and developmental intervention, and family support services.
