Taking Care of Cape Cod’s Children and Families

Our mission is to provide world class child and family focused programs that nurture each child’s full potential.

What We Do
Today’s families face many challenges. At Cape Cod Child Development we think that finding great child care, early education and family support services shouldn’t be among them. Through our core offerings, we offer a broad range of comprehensive services that include preschool/head start; school-age programs; early intervention and assessment services; parent education and playgroups for children; support for teen parents and a network of family child care homes.

Every one of our programs supports your child’s unique strengths and challenges as well as your family’s priorities and preferences. We believe that when your family succeeds, your child succeeds—you will find  that interwoven into our child-focused programs is a commitment to support the entire family. Our dedicated staff of professionals takes every opportunity to include you in our work by building a relationship with your family that supports your child’s development and learning in the classroom and at home.

Our programs offer a wide variety of structured and free-time learning that allows your child to participate in enrichment activities and learning experiences that help them meet milestones in the various stages of their lives. Our staff is commitment to providing safe and nurturing environments to give your child the best care and support each day.

Who We Are
Cape Cod Child Development Program, Inc. is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a staff of approximately 240 well-trained professionals dedicated to the positive development of your child and well-being of your family. From our start as a small summer Head Start program in 1971, we have grown to become one of the largest child care and family service organizations on Cape Cod, now serving more than 3,000 children and their families every year.

We understand how difficult it can be for you to entrust the care of your child to someone else, which is why all our programs are staffed by professionals who care deeply about the work they do. Our long history of quality programming continues to attract diverse and qualified individuals who understand the importance of your child’s positive growth and development. Our programs and staff reflect the diversity of our families and respond to the different languages and cultural backgrounds present within our community.

Every preschool/head start classroom, after-school center and family child care home is licensed through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC). Our commitment to quality is evident in all twenty-one Preschool and Head Start classrooms, which are nationally accredited. The Department of Public Health (DPH) certifies our Early Intervention program for children with developmental disabilities and/or delays.
