Over one hundred Bloody Mary aficionados had a magnificent time at the 4th Annual Aston’s Bloody Mary Mix Off at Embargo on Main Street in Hyannis, to benefit Cape Cod Child Development. On Sunday, April 17 the happy attendees were able to taste and vote on Bloody Mary recipes from over 20 local restaurants, while enjoying a delicious passed brunch, raffle, and a huge silent & live auction. The big winner this year was Baxter’s Boat House, joining the ranks of the previous winners; Tomatoes Italian Grille & Bar, Ocean House, & Beech Tree Cantina, as the holder of the celebrated “Bloody Cup” trophy.
We want to give our heartfelt thanks to David & Marissa Noble, owners of Embargo, who created this fun and delectable event to honor their son Aston, who has an Autism Spectrum Disorder and received Early Intervention services from Cape Cod Child Development This year was the biggest yet with over 60k being raised to support our EI program, which provides assessment and individualized services to eligible children from six weeks up to age 3 who have or are at high risk for a developmental delay, disability or health condition.
“We are so grateful to the Nobles, the Embargo staff, all the restaurants that competed and everyone who attended this annual event.” says Anne Colwell, CEO of Cape Cod Child Development. “The money raised will go to help children and families who benefit from our array of Early Intervention services.”
